Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is wanted to replace Maurizio Sarri as manager at Stamford Bridge, according to reports in Italy.

The front page of Corriere dello Sport states Sarri is the favourite for the Juventus job following the departure of Massimilliano Allegri.

With Sarri considering a move back to Italy, Chelsea are eyeing a move for former player Lampard to replace him in the Stamford Bridge dugout.

Sarri has reportedly been contacted by the Italian champions, who are also keen on trying to tempt Mauricio Pochettino away from Tottenham .

Sky Italia have reported that Lampard is the man Chelsea ‘have decided’ they want to lead them after his encouraging start to life as a manager with Derby County.

Lampard, who left the Blues as their all-time leading goalscorer in 2014, has lead Derby to the Championship play-off final.

They are one game away from securing Premier League football ahead of their clash with Aston Villa at Wembley on May 27.

Sarri has not been a hit with Chelsea fans despite leading them to a third place Premier League finish and a spot in the Europa League final against Arsenal in Baku.

Lampard also send a message to Chelsea about Eden Hazard

Frank Lampard has spoken about the future of Eden Hazard at Chelsea amid speculation about a summer move to Real Madrid.

Hazard could be set to leave Stamford Bridge after the Europa League final against Arsenal later this month as Real Madrid prepare to make their move.
